About this guide
Registration fields explain where information came from. They do not make every card, relationship, or generation officially verified.
Before you start
A pet profile you manage.
Exact registration details when known.
A safely stored Pedigree document if one should be linked.
Steps
Open the pedigree details.
Copy the number and organization accurately.
Enter kennel and club only from a reliable source.
Link an existing pedigree document.
Add a note for incomplete or disputed information.
Review every card source and relationship status.
Save and inspect the public view signed out.
Relationship states
Not confirmed, pending, one-side/two-side confirmed, document reviewed, rejected, and disputed describe different levels of platform evidence.
Limit of proof
One document does not prove every relative, generation, purebred status, ownership, or biological ancestry.
Disputed information
Do not invent missing facts. Record the source and do not publish a disputed claim as certain.
Document privacy
A document may contain personal data and must not automatically become public with the graph.
Final checklist
Verify the root pet, duplicate cards, parent roles, ancestry direction, dates, species, and breed. For each litter, review parents, date, child count and order, and the single birth-litter rule. Do not turn an assumption into an exact fact. Check external profiles and approvals, run analysis again, and choose Save once. Read draft and publication status separately. Before sharing, verify family-history visibility and the signed-out public page. Generate a fresh PNG or PDF after important changes because an existing file will not update automatically.
What happens after saving
The Save button submits the whole working graph. After it succeeds, read the editor message: it states separately whether the published pedigree was updated or only a draft was kept for correction.
A draft is not the same as publication
Manual card and pet profile
A manual card exists only inside the pedigree and does not create a HappyPetSpace pet profile. A pet profile has an owner, HPS ID, and its own visibility settings; profile data is edited in the profile, not in the pedigree’s manual card.

Record the number, registry, kennel, club, document, and source without claiming that one file validates the whole graph.
