Confirm that publication succeeded, not only draft saving.
Open the public page from the profile.
Review the graph and generation table.
Share or copy the link.
Test it in a private window.
Download PNG or the two-page PDF.
Check HPS ID, date, visible data, QR, and disclaimer.
PNG
It is a non-interactive graph snapshot. Public-page export is safer for external sharing; a long litter can show +N.
It uses public data, is designed for two pages, and shows up to 18 table rows with a hidden-row count.
QR
It opens the public online page and depends on that page remaining accessible.
Why a pet is missing
Privacy, missing approval, or draft-only changes may exclude it.
Freshness
A downloaded file never updates automatically. Generate a new one after changes; an old recipient copy cannot be recalled.
Status
The export is informational and not an official certificate.
Final checklist
Verify the root pet, duplicate cards, parent roles, ancestry direction, dates, species, and breed. For each litter, review parents, date, child count and order, and the single birth-litter rule. Do not turn an assumption into an exact fact. Check external profiles and approvals, run analysis again, and choose Save once. Read draft and publication status separately. Before sharing, verify family-history visibility and the signed-out public page. Generate a fresh PNG or PDF after important changes because an existing file will not update automatically.
What happens after saving
The Save button submits the whole working graph. After it succeeds, read the editor message: it states separately whether the published pedigree was updated or only a draft was kept for correction.
A draft is not the same as publication
Manual card and pet profile
A manual card exists only inside the pedigree and does not create a HappyPetSpace pet profile. A pet profile has an owner, HPS ID, and its own visibility settings; profile data is edited in the profile, not in the pedigree’s manual card.
